End Detention in Your District
An essential component of ending immigration detention is understanding its scope and methods of expansion.
To this end, Freedom for Immigrants has launched a project called “End Detention In Your District,” informational briefs highlighting immigrant prisons and jails in Congressional districts throughout the country.
These two-pagers include crucial details such as facility capacity, resources for volunteers, risk of expansion, and documented abuses.
We are hoping that this, in conjunction with our interactive map, will provide advocates and policy makers with the tools they need to make changes in their communities, and ultimately, to end immigration detention nationally.
